Cinnamon and Raisin Buns

These lovely little muffins best to lighten up your weekend. No mess, simple and easy muffins, tastes even better with a sugary glaze.
Enjoy them for breakfast or tea.


  • 115g all purpose flour
  • 65g demerara sugar
  • 175ml warm milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1tbsp baking powder
  • 3tbsp cooking oil/ vegetable oil
  • 2tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 80g black raisins


Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease the muffin tray with butter.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, ground cinnamon and egg. Beat them with an electric mixer until smooth.

Step 3

Now fold in the raisins and spoon the mixture into the muffin trays until two-thirds full. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

Step 4

Unmould the buns and let it stand on a wire rack to cool before serving.
