Easy microwave potatoes

  • 1 large potato -cut into fingers
  • 1/4 cup frozen / cooked green peas
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Few sprigs of freshly chopped coriander
  • Salt to taste


Step 1

In a microwave safe bowl, put the frozen green peas and add 1/4 cup water and microwave high for 3-4 minutes. Drain and set the peas aside.

Step 2

Meanwhile peel and cut the potatoes into wedges / fingers. Combine all the ingredients in a microwave bowl and give it a good mix. Cook covered for 4-5 minutes. And then cook uncovered for 3-4 minutes or until the potatoes are crisp from out and soft inside.
