This is one of the recipes from my mom. The heart of the recipe is refreshing mint and coriander paste, that gives the lovely flavour to the chicken. Enjoy this dish with steaming hot white rice or ghee rice or rotis.
- 500 g Chicken medium cut
- 2 tsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1 cup mint and coriander leaves
- 5-6 Green chillies
- 5-6 Garlic cloves
- 2 tsp sliced ginger
- 2 pods cardamom
- 3-4 cloves
- 1 large onion sliced
Marinate the chicken (500g) with salt & ginger-garlic paste (2 tsp) for an hour.
Make a paste by blending mint leaves ,coriander leaves , green chillies , garlic and ginger.
Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan, add the cardamom pods, cloves and onion. Now add the blended paste and saute until cooked.
Add the chicken and cook it under a low flame for 20 minutes or until the chicken is tender. Serve hot with rotis or ghee rice.
