Potato fritters

An easy and hearty snack for your kids to eat during evening or morning.


  • 1 large potato
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 bread slices
  • 1 garlic clove chopped
  • 1tsp ground pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Salt to taste
  • 2tbsp butter / oil


Step 1

Peel and cube the potato. Bring water to boil and add the potato. Cook until tender -10 to 15 minutes.

Step 2

Trim the edges of the bread, and whizz it up in a blender to get fine crumbs.

Step 3

Beat the egg in a seperate bowl. Combine the cooked potato, beaten egg ,onion, chopped garlic, onion, black pepper and salt.

Step 4

Grease a griddle pan with oil or butter and turn the heat to medium. Divide and roll the mixture into equal sized patties. Cook until browned, approximately 5 minutes on each side.
